A:Answer If the flash is firing inconsistently, it could be a number of things. First, keep in mind that it takes up to a few seconds for the capacitor to charge up between flashes to fire again. Don’t try to take another photo until the blue ready light on the flash comes on and you hear the beep. Second, make sure that the flash is installed all the way in the camera hot shoe, and is then tightened down. Third, make sure you check your flash mode settings. There are some settings which might result in an ineffective flash in some conditions. If all these things are right, and you have good batteries, you may have a dud unit. Look into the warranty.
