Q: Questionhow to factory reset speedlight if980n
Asked by jronn.
- A:Answer Press and hold the two center buttons along the bottom of the display screen. That will reset factory settings. Don’t forget that this might re-activate functions which you had turned off on purpose, like the beeps and the AF-assist light.

Q: QuestionHow can I check the battery level? I have searched the manual and tried every button on the flash.
Asked by Schuter.
- A:Answer So... not sure you can, but once it goes below 30 percent the battery icon will start to flash to the far right side of the controls screen. Also, watch your charge light (it’s a small white rubber button below the control panel- it also serves as the manual flash release control button) - this should be firing up full blue within a second or two of starting the flash sequence. If it doesn’t in 2 seconds or less, your battery is below the charge you’ll need to not lose your mind waiting for it to fire up between shots. Batteries make a massive difference here- splurge on the good high powered device needs kind, and you’ll get hours out of this flash. Throw in some standard double-AA 8 and expect it to start slowing down after the first 10 shots. Happy capture to you!

Q: QuestionI bought this flash and lost the manual and cannot find an on-line manual. Can you please direct me to either for this EXACT model?
Asked by Seaweedsoul.
- A:Answer If you can’t find a PDF version online, do a search for Sunpak DF3600U. There is a PDF manual online for that unit, and the controls are the same.

Q: QuestionIs there a trigger that is compatible with this flash?
Asked by grungeguy101.
- A:Answer The trigger in the Platinum Pro kit works with this flash. I currently have it set to slave mode, with the softbox in the light kit as master. I would assume any compatible trigger/remote will work with it.

Q: QuestionWill this flash work with Yl M1 mirrorless amera?
Asked by Mick.
- A:Answer With a remote trigger, it may work. I had to look at an image of the camera to get an idea of it's size and, to be completely honest, the hot shoe is larger than the top of the camera.

- A:Answer Yes it will. I Own 2 supak flash. They’re operable in slave mode. Works just as good as canon flash. Does everything a canon can do just a lot cheaper price. Always use high end rechargeable batteries. I use energizer rechargeable. Good luck.

Q: QuestionIs this flash compatible with the Nikon D-40? Can it use NiMH batteries?

Q: QuestionDoes it fit Nikon D500
Asked by K.
- A:Answer Absolutely, it works atop the Nikon D500, and links to its controls through contacts in the shoe mount. This flash is incredibly versatile. It takes some time to figure it out, and it IS LARGE, sticking up above the D500, but it has plenty of power, a great distribution of the light, and is well worth the money and the time you will spend experimenting to learn all it can do. I suggest buying Lithium Hydride rechargeable batteries, two sets, to keep things going, if you shoot a lot of pictures requiring full power.
