Q: QuestionDoes it fit Nikon D500
Asked by K.
- A:Answer Absolutely, it works atop the Nikon D500, and links to its controls through contacts in the shoe mount. This flash is incredibly versatile. It takes some time to figure it out, and it IS LARGE, sticking up above the D500, but it has plenty of power, a great distribution of the light, and is well worth the money and the time you will spend experimenting to learn all it can do. I suggest buying Lithium Hydride rechargeable batteries, two sets, to keep things going, if you shoot a lot of pictures requiring full power.

Asked by sms.
- A:Answer Yes, that’s normal. If you want the flash’s LCD to remain on, press the button that looks like a lightbulb on the lefthand side of the unit.

Q: QuestionIs this fully or partially compatible with the Sony Alpha series of Cameras?
Asked by Dean.
- A:Answer ANY camera with a hot shoe will trigger this flash. If this unit has an A (Automatic) mode similar to Nikon Flash units, then the flash unit itself can control the flash output via the built-in sensor..once an aperture and ISO are set on the flash. It is not a dedicated unit for sure, but you can use any camera in Manual mode, then set the camera's aperture and iso to match the iso and f/stop of the flash unit.. and voila!, perfect exposures without any overdone flash unit menu settings!!! I use this all the time on my SONYA6000 in Manual mode when shooting events where the flash is the main light source., just making adjustments to my f/stop (and shutter speed for better fill-in effects) after a preview exposure. It is also very easy to intentionally over or under expose the photo by changing the camera's f/stop setting. The flash output stays constant because it is working independently (fyi it does NOT help in any way with autofocusing). fyi I use auto white balance, it seems to be me much more accurate than selecting a flash white balance option. - A:Answer Yes, very much compatible. On camera, it works in Manual, TTL, multi-strobe, slow and second curtain, and high-speed sync. Off-camera it will work in conjunction with your pop-up flash for S1, S2, and also with remote control using the Nikon CLS function of your D7200.

Q: QuestionWhat wireless trigger works with this external flash. I am using the Canon 6D.
Asked by Knicksfan87.
- A:Answer I have not been able to find a Sunpak brand radio trigger kit. I have used Neewer FC-16 triggers with good success. This is a basic firing trigger, with no TTL or remote adjusting capabilities. Those trigger kits are packaged separately for Canon and Nikon cameras, but the only difference is the triggering cables. If you intend to use on the hot shoe, the actual triggers are the same. Don’t overlook that the DF4000U has optical triggering options of S1, S2, and also with the proprietary optical system through the pop-up flash in many Canon and Nikon cameras.
