Q: QuestionThe flash will not turn on after not being used for a long time.I put in new batteries but nothing. Is there a button combination to revive the flash?

• A:Answer Do these in order 1 ) put new batteries in flash 2) make sure camera has functional batteries. Can still be low as long as they can turn camera on. Recharged, Fresh the best. New/RECHARGED. 3) turn camera on. 4) turn flash on 5) fire flash Hopefully it works now

• A:Answer I don’t think this will work on-camera with a Sony mirrorless. The Sony cameras have a proprietary hot shoe which is different than any other manufacturer. The universal identification of this flash is more that it works with both Nikon and Canon cameras, DSLR in particular.
