• Yes, it's a wired light. You can either use a an extension cord or some portable charger if you're going to use outside. I haven't tried this though, so I don't know if it will work.

• This light is great for indoor illumination for general and camera usage. It can be take. Outside in dry weather if you like but I prefer inside
