Can I detach the head from the tripod? null

I did a close examination of the display models in a couple stores. Unless they glued the head in place to keep it from getting stolen, it is not removable. The locking mechanism in the pistol grip also appeared to be poor quality plastic. At least for my use, I doubt it would hold up for more than a month or two. I went with this model: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sunpak-travellite-pro-reverse-folding-63-tripod-black-with-red-accents/5310001.p?skuId=5310001. It is lightweight and offers higher quality construction. You can also replace the head if you wish as it is just a standard mount.

Dont think so, the head just swivels. Gave as a gift. I do not currently have it.
