• it is advertised to accommodate cameras up to 11 pounds in weight. I use it for DSLRs and point and shoots but it should provide support for full size DSLRs and smaller digital and film camera and medium to small video cams. It has a standard tripod to camera threaded mount. The legs are reinforced.

• It has a standard 1/4-20 thread, which nearly all cameras have. If your camera has a threaded hole in the bottom, it’s almost guaranteed to be 1/4-20 thread and this or any other tripod will work with it.
