No, of course you can't play it now before it's released.

I'm not sure how digital purchases work with Nintendo but with PlayStation, you are able to play the game the night before (at 9pm Pacific time) it's release date.

You'd have to assume that you wait until the release date, unless the publisher explictly says they're granting early access.

I doubt it, but depends on Nintendo whether or not the unlock the game. Most consoles lock the game until release and/or erase all content prior to release.
