To successfully preorder, you need a lot of patience with with the website, as well as good timing. If you can get the item in the cart, then you got farther than most. Even when it says pre order, the current allotment could be sold out. If you try to order and it says sold out, just keep the cart, and don’t keep trying to buy at the time. Keep checking the item periodically on the website, and try to order again when it’s available for preorder. With the item in the cart, you can go to checkout quicker. As long as you have payment and shipping info saved to the account, one of the times you should be able to get it done quick enough before stock runs out again.

Bestbuy phone team member told me that the email me when available aid supposed to show up soon they supposedly updated the page to add notify me button. Haven't seen it yet though.

It sold out at Best Buy before it even went up for pre order.
