Hi Dave, The cellular frequencies used in the US are different than Africa. The SureCall Flare 3.0 amplifies the 5 most important cellular frequencies in the US... bands 5, 12, 13, 25 & 4. As a rule, Africa uses different cellular frequencies. There are parts of Africa that use band 5 (850 MHz Cellular) but from what i can find on-line i don't think Flare 3.0 will work for you in the Congo.
