There are specific installation parameters like the exterior antenna and interior antenna need to face opposite directions. They are both directional so the exterior antenna somewhat dictates interior placement. This is true with most boosters or they will not work properly. I am a professional installer of these devices. They work great when properly installed. You most also locate your nearest cell tower which will dictate exterior placement. You can do that with a free app. I usually install an added J pole as well and sometimes must add more RG6.
