• No you should be find either way,they changed the plug in the hover boards to prevent that

This one has a UL2272 battery management system. it means that the battery is highly unlikely to catch on fire (which is the culprit on other flaming boards). in the unlikely case that the battery DID catch fire, it is inside a thick metal housing, and the inside of the board is also metal, AND the plastic is fire retardant. Overall, it's very safe!
