“Hello, Do you recommend a managed POE router for this system or can the NVR power the cameras on their own? Also I see the unit comes with 100ft ethernet cable. What is the longest distance can they be away from the NVR? just wondering.”

Hello Millertime, Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. We would recommend that the cameras be connected to the recorder directly. The recorder can supply sufficient power up to 300 feet away. This is the longest recommended run. Please let us know how we may further assist you, Thank you. JV Swann Customer Support
