A:AnswerInternet is required only if you want to remote view it from another location than from where it is installed. Without an internet connection, you can view it locally from your monitor you have connected to it.

It is very easy to installed. You are given very long cables with all the connectors on them. The hard part will be the location where you mount the cameras (is a ladder needed, mounting into wood or brick) and running the cables through your attic.
