How are you getting internet service. What are you using now for a hotspot. If you are using your smartphone as the hotspot then when you leave home you are taking the hotspot away from the dvr. The dvr can be connected to ethernet (wired) internet or wifi (wireless) internet to connect to the internet , then you can view the cameras through your smart phone or a monitor.
