This is not total wireless like the Swann CoreCam which is total wireless with it's own power supply. Do note that this costs only $199 whereas a four-pack CoreCamm setup will set you back $599. Think of this as a hybrid, the main camera is wireless and you can connect the other three cameras to the main camera via "wires", This setup being wi-fi enabled allows you to install the system which requires a base station that if often wired to your router,

The main camera in this system can connect wirelessly (through Wi-Fi) to your home network, however you are correct in saying that it still requires a power cable going into it, just the video connection back to the network is wireless. 'Wireless' is quite a common term in the market for this type of camera. 'Wire-free' is a common term for battery operated cameras which have no wires at all. We will look to update the description on the BestBuy website to make this more clear. Please also note that wires also connect the main camera to the three other cameras. -SD, Swann team.
