BS. These cameras don’t charge as well in North America. I’ve had mine in the sun for 6-8 hours a day in Canada and they drop in battery life not gain. Terrible cameras.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi WiscPerson. The batteries are inside the camera casing and cannot be removed/replaced. The inbuilt solar panel will keep them topped up each day providing it gets a few hours of good sunlight, and you can also add an external solar panel to the camera instead if you want to capture more sun or place the panel at a different angle to the camera in order to maximize sun exposure. Really cold temperatures will definitely have an impact on any lithium battery so you may find you have to charge the camera occassionally during winter months. The battery also has protection mechanisms built in, so it will not actually be able to receive a charge from the solar panel if it's a really cold temperature. -SD, Swann Team
