• A:Answer Hi Cindy. No, there are no compulsory subscription fees to use any Swann product. To view the cameras on your phone you just need to give the MaxRanger Hub an internet connection by connecting a network cable between the Hub and your Router. Then you would install the Swann Security app on your phone and pair the Hub to it. You'll then be able to view your cameras from anywhere in the world from your phone. -SD, Swann Team

Q: QuestionI worry about the cold weather like in the Montana question. I don't have access to a camera power outlet. Can the camera battery be easily replaced and recharged remotely?

• A:Answer BS. These cameras don’t charge as well in North America. I’ve had mine in the sun for 6-8 hours a day in Canada and they drop in battery life not gain. Terrible cameras.

However, for the system to send notifications to your mobile device during a power outage, both the hub and your home's internet router must remain operational and connected to the internet. Yes, the MicroSD Card slot is on the outside of the hub and you can easily change the included 64GB card to something larger if you prefer (up to 512GB cards are supported). You can also connect a USB hard drive to the rear USB port on the hub, or you can even install a 2.5" hard drive within the hub case as well if you like. • A:Answer Thanks for your question. You will need to give the hub an internet connection if you wish to view it remotely on your phone.
