QuestionCan this security system now be set to record at the maximum 60 second clip length, through your app? And when the clip stops, will it immediately begin a new recording, if there is still activity in the area? And again, a new clip after the 2nd clip?

- Answer Hello Kat. Yes, you can set the clip length to the maximum 60 seconds through the app. Once the clip finishes, if there’s still motion in the area, the system will begin recording a new clip. This process can continue as long as motion is detected, with each new clip starting after the previous one ends. Keep in mind that longer recordings may use more battery. Hope this helps! QuestionCan you monitor multiple camers at the same time. And can they be monitored continuously, or do they time out.

- Answer Hi Onmytab. The cameras will timeout after around 1minute of live view in order to preserve their battery. After that you would need to tap on the phone screen or monitor again to trigger another live view. On your phone or monitor you can view a live stream from all cameras at the same time, and the hub supports up to 8 cameras. -SD, Swann Team

- Answer Hello Akblack1. No, the Swann Xtreem 4K Wireless Camera won’t directly integrate with the MaxRange 4K setup since they use different systems. The system also includes True Detect+ technology, which senses heat, motion, people, and vehicles to trigger recording, alerts, spotlights, and sirens. - Answer Anytime the suns up there will be charging but not as much as you get on clear sunny days. I’ve had mine about a month with 90 % of the time clouds or snow and have had no problems.

QuestionLive in wyoming with temperatures from -40 to 105 . Do the cameras shut down or break at the lower temps . the lower temps are not frequent but it does occur during winter I was told they break not just shut down like Arlo cameras . I want your cameras

- Answer Hi Paradise. The cameras have been tested in & can survive temperatures as low as -22°F however the performance will be affected by such extreme cold. The battery life will be shorter than normal and the solar panels will also not provide a charge to the battery when it's colder than 32°F for safety reasons. If you are looking to put a camera somewhere where it will regularly experience cold temperatures like you get in Wyoming, I would recommend a camera that is permanently powered instead. A powered NVR camera system will be a better option for cold temperatures as they stay warmer inside the camera and you will not need to worry about charging them.. -SD, Swann Team

QuestionHow much sun exposure is recommended to keep the batteries charged? We are considering for location that has limited exposure to western sun.

- Answer Hello 53groucho. Thank you for reaching out! To keep your MaxRanger 4K camera fully charged, we recommend positioning the solar panel for about 3-4 hours of direct sunlight each day. However, this can vary depending on how active the camera is, as more frequent recording does use up battery faster. If the camera isn’t triggered often, it may need less sunlight to stay powered. For MaxRanger cameras that don’t get enough sunlight on their inbuilt panel each day, you have the option to add an external solar panel if you wish to. In USA the panels that we’d recommend for MaxRanger are SOLAR2, SOLAR3 & SOLAR5 (coming in early 2025). You can also obtain weather seals for the back of the camera and Micro-USB to USB-C adaptor if needed by contacting us at [email protected]. Your feedback is important to us. LV - Swann Team

- Answer Hi Collins. Yes, the Swann Security app will show all of the SD Card clips in the Playback screen. From there you can download them to your phone if you want to save or share any. - Answer Swann have been in business for 35 years, & have been selling security cameras around the world for the last 20 of those. Our head office is in Australia and we have other global offices in California, the UK and Hong Kong. MaxRanger does not work with Alexa, however the hub has an HDMI port on the back of it to allow you to view it through any TV or monitor. - SD, Swann Team

- Answer Yes. If you wish to view the cameras remotely on your smartphone you will need to give the MaxRanger hub an internet connection by running a network cable between it and your router. It doesn’t matter how your router gets its own connection in the first place. -SD, Swann Team

QuestionHow good is the response of this cameras, I currently have the blink but the response rate for when I want to connect to one of the cameras is wayyy too slow that you actual miss things.

With optimal internet upload and download speeds, you should experience only a 1-2 second delay when accessing your camera's live view through the app. In terms of recording, please note that, like all wireless cameras, the device enters sleep mode to conserve battery when there's no activity. - Answer Hello Blue, The MaxRanger4K has its own dedicated network, it then is connected to your network via ethernet cable. This system runs on 900MHz wireless signal which means it will not interfere with your 2.4Ghz of 5G signals.
