Q: Can the cameras be mounted to a tree instead of a wall?
A: Hi Melissa. Yes, you could mount them to a tree if you wish, the only thing to keep in mind is that the solar panels on the top of the cameras need a good amount of direct sunlight in order to charge the battery. So if your tree creates shade on the top of the camera, then it won't charge from the panel and you'd need to bring the camera indoors from time to time in order to charge it from a wall charger. - SD, Swann Team

Superb set of cameras.
Set up was super easy. The cameras come already paired to the base station. There are no monthly fees because it comes with a 64GB MicroSD card that stores 12 months of rolling clips to the base station before rewriting the card. It has a long range with a very strong wireless signal. The 4K cameras have built-in solar panels, 2-way talk, lights & sirens (that you can set off from the app to warn intruders), and color night vision (when the spotlights are turned on, otherwise it’s black and white). You can zoom in or out and the picture is still good. This base station came with 2 cameras but has the ability to manage 6 more. The cameras are somewhat heavy and there is a 3-4 second delay in video playback. This package is one of my favorites.

Super easy installation and setup. Awesome range and video … the alert with identification is really cool. Tells you what the person is wearing … the Swann app is solid.

INCREDIBLE RANGE
This security system is really an amazing value. I live on a moderately large lot that has a longer than normal drive way and have been looking for a value proposition that would provide some awareness of what is coming up the drive and document it. This is an ideal solution because of the solar charging. In over a month of use, it has used less than 1% of battery at a range of around 1/4 mile. While the other camera is used in the back yard to understand what animal friend my retriever is "talking to" at any point of the day or night. I wasn't so sure the battery back up would perform when needed so I unplugged the power for 4 hours. It performed perfectly. no hiccup in service. We purposely spent time "triggering" both back yard and driveway cameras. Notifications continued throughout the period of no power. The big value though is comes in 2 forms for me 1) weather proof so there isn't a worry ever about rain or freeze and 2) the True Detect feature..so during storms I am not getting blow up with moving limbs, bushes and anything else that is not a worry since it detects heat. Microphone and speaker is becoming a very standard feature with most of these cameras and it does come in handy at time to talk to my wife when we are quite a ways apart - yes a call on my phone is as easy but there are times our cell coverage is not great due to our location our phones leverage wifi so it is easy for use to be away from the signal coverage. The set up is very simple though I was worried at first; Just follow the directions, set up & insure its all working before final installation
