• This system has a lot of customization options in the on-screen programming. You can change the behavior of each light separately. Mine did not do any flashing etc. right out of the box and I didn’t turn those features on, just not interested in that currently. So far it is a fairly impressive system, pro-like.

• Yes, you can go into the app or the DVR settings and enable/disable it, or set it at particular times or events. It's very customizable.
