“Where would I mount the DVR? 8 cables coming into attic and into interior wall where DVR is located, or DVR in attic with 8 cables, and only VGA or HDMI comes into interior of home.”

• Attics can get very hot, not good for the DVR. I would recommend keeping the DVR inside and routing the cables into a room with the DVR, There also has to be access to a network connection if you want to monitor the cameras remotely and there is a mouse that needs to attach to the DVR for operations and setup.

• Hello, We do not recommend installing the DVR in an attic. This is due to the fact that dust may go into the unit and this may cause it to overheat.
