Good daytime pictures but night time pictures are not so good.very grainy.

This camera is excellent! The picture is so clear I can read license plates on cars! I love the zoom in feature! The DVR interface is very easy to navigate and it comes with the mouse! Installation was done myself, a bit involved since I was putting it outside my building. Cameras work great outdoors!

I had this installed about a month now. Very clear crisp video, lots of functional features, easy to set up. Only negative is that it doesn't come with audio. Could have been better with audio as standard feature.

I bought this system to replace a 4 camera Swann system that I previously had. Only reason for upgrade was for more cameras. I was able to reuse my original wires for the new cameras, which helped reduce my labor running wires for the other 4 cameras. This system works flawless, I am able to view my cameras remotely from anywhere from my phone which is nice when you are away from home. Plenty of hard drive space to record weeks of video before overwriting. Not too hard to set up, I am kinda of technology challenged at times. When setting up on phone with the app, I had to type in the security code, as it would not take a picture of the code box to set it up automatically. For the price of other systems, I feel this is a great system for anyone who needs the added comfort of being able to monitor their property/home.

This is a great product for someone who is looking to purchase a basic security system, good image quality, & plenty of storage. The night vision range is not what I expected & the operating system for the hard drive is somewhat Windows 95, but overall I am pleased with the system.

I purchased this system after many reviews. It was easy to install. I ran all wiring and installed cameras in one day throughout the attic for outside home security. The POE was my main reason for purchasing. No extra wiring for power was needed as it it is all self contained. The camera quality is amazing. The biggest problem is that they are a little dark at night.

Purchased this system to keep an eye out around the house. Routing the wires is a little bit of a hassle, but I expected that. I got this system because of a YouTube review covering features. Image quality is very good using hdmi output. It will take some time tuning trigger zones and sensitivity, but well worth it. The SwannView Plus app works well with an iPad mini using wifi on live feed, although the image guality through the app isn't as good as at the monitor. App seems buggy on video replay. Better off using the base station. Planning to buy more cameras to fill the empty slots

I bought this system after returning a completely wireless system and found it to be junk. This system was super easy to set up. Even though you have to be able to run the lines, if you can do that this is the only way to go. The clarity of the cameras are great even in the dark. There was a coupon in mine for a free basic install which I did not use, not sure how basic they really mean, it does say you are responsible for any additional costs, didn't need it at any rate. My only complaint is there is no manual with it beyond basic startup instructions which is all you need to get it going but to really learn the system I have to go download it from somewhere. I plan on expanding to four more cameras as you quickly learn what you are missing (viewing wise). The app is great to view it on your phone, there is zero delay in the feed and the app only takes about ten seconds to be up and running viewing live feeds from the cameras. So far I am super impressed with the cameras. I friend of mine who used to install camera and security systems is very impressed with the system and he used to do high end stuff.

Very easy to use. Love the color during the day and at night it will record in black and white but you can definitely tell who the person is at night. You wont be able to have a very clear image of license plates at night only during the daytime form a very far distance. You can add an outdoor light next to the camera and leave it on at night if you want to catch license plates at night, this will make the camera record in color. You can set each camera in different settings, and you may even select if you want them to record on motion or all the time. It has this alarm that will go off if you want to have it one when it detects movement. Great price for good home surveillance system.

After I completed the installation (I'd recommend having someone do it) and set up the DVR, the system has worked flawlessly with coverage out nearly 100' from my house. Playback and zoom function are pretty amazing. I can see who and what they're doing during the day out to max range. At night it is 60'+ but that's due to ambient light here not being sufficient to cover out the whole way. Still it covers 90% of my yard at night with great pictures and recordings.

Would have given 5 stars if the app for apple products was a little better. Cannot play back video remotely without issues (plays back 12 hrs in 10 seconds or 12 hrs) playback from the DVR works great. Great quality video day or night. Saving video has a bit of a learning curve but works well. Not much else to say, would recommend overall...

Good video quality. App needs work, and no push notifications

I like the set up, very easy to install literally Plug and Play. Would have given it 5 stars if the camera angle was greater, only allows for 70 degrees of viewing, little disappointed would have preferred 120 degrees or at least 90 degrees. Overall, glad I bought it and I love the fact that I can check in at anytime, anywhere via app on phone.

The cameras, dvr and recording quality, as well as using the system ONCE it is setup is very nice and somewhat intuitive. The setup from the box instructions are very limited and can stall even a tech pro. The box also claims that you can view your cameras from the web but you CANNOT use any web browser to view your videos, you must use their app and software. Not a big deal, but misleading. It used to be nice to be able to go anywhere on anyone's computer, and watch your cameras just by going to your domain and logging in. Now, you must have their app. For the quality of 5MP HD videos and clarity of recordings makes this system great, once the setup hassle is completed.

The camera quality is great. I can see faces very clearly; when people enter my buisness. Only a few cons when i go to distance on playing back a few hours before,on fast fowarding it starts to lag very bad after around 1 hour so i have to take of the playback and put it back on again.

I got this so I could monitor my house from the app. The app hasn't been updated since 2013, crashes all the time and playback doesn't work all the time.

Very simple . Hook it up it starts recording after you enter time/date/password/etc it auto records like I want . I ran a hdmi to my living room tv and a wireless mouse so I can switch to input at any giving time to check around my home or on my kids . I haven't set up to Internet to do the phone and alert view . So I can't comment on that yet . That doesn't interest me really . Maybe one day I just want a simple long recording if for any reason I question thing around my home I can find out what happened . So far all 8 running on middle motion I'm on 3rd week without recording over yet . Clear for the money and the night vision is like all the others . But with in 10 ft at a door it's good beyond that it's worthless
