A:Answeri put on a sidepull brake but you need to replace the front rim because the stock rim is rounded and the brake pad has no breaking surface to make contact with. ordered the rim from porkchop bmx, it was probably around 50-60 bucks plus shipping.

A:AnswerIt only has 1 gear, like a standard BMX and can be easily pedaled. You can ride it normally, or turn on the motor to assist with the pedaling, which makes it amazingly easy on hills. I can see no reason why it would take longer than a regular bike since it goes up to about 20 mph with the motor and as fast as you would normally pedal a bike.
