• My daughter is 7 and had no issues riding it. Now my nephew is 4 years old and it was too much for him to handle.hope this helped

• My daughters were 8 & 10 when they got it and got the hang of it within an hour, my 3 year old son uses it sitting down. I think what matters most if the child is willing to learn something new and is ok taking a few falls (wearing protective gear).
