Hi there! You may need to check with an auto-insurance provider to see if they cover the MAXX. As avid bike riders, we do NOT recommend riding this on sidewalks. It is recommended for use in bike lanes, or suburban streets. For small towns (like Spokane), we can totally see the MAXX cruising downtown for coffee runs or to meet friends! Remember, the max speed is only 20mph. Hope this helps!
