“Does this electric bike come with fenders? I can't understand why a company would sell a bike without fender / on it to prevent getting mud splashed up on clothing and getting a muddy mess.”

+1... how is it possible to produce bikes without fenders/mud-guards? Even if one is riding on the road (and not a muddy pathway), one still needs protection from rain puddles and random pebbles being lifted up by the tires.

This ebike is absolutely an entry level ebike with no extras. That being said the quality of this bike is exceptional for the price especially when discounted. Many low price options for ebikes start at $1200 from a respectable company. Also this bike uses 700c tires, do not use this bike off-road it is a road bike, as for putting fenders on it, it would unfortunately ruin the aesthetic of this bike for most riders.
