No, according to Nintendo you can order it on release-day but I would recommend staying near your phone or computer refreshing automatically as im not sure when a restock will be available.

That's how the seasoned people did it. I eventually had to teach my mother so she could buy PC parts for my brother. Long story short, if you want to try to get one on a level playing field, that is my suggestion to you!

However each time was only up for a shorter time than a human could even possibly checkout. Shorter than the time it takes to add to cart, click checkout, sign in, checkout again. Would never make it. I have a record of each time. Best buy customer service gave the pass it off to whatever other support. Corporate support acted like they were going to help because of a bbb complaint however after the complaint was closed they simply said sorry we dont guarantee any purchase. So moreso than the bots its bestbuy themselves doing nothing about it and giving 0 F.

As someone else suggested, if you want this special console, find a tracker on Twitter. Thats how I got my PS5 after 2 YEARS! It's insane. If your kid is ok with a normal switch or switch lite I'd go with that before Christmas shopping starts...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a color variation for an OLED Switch which does not come with a version of any game. This is a collector's item, which is why it is hard to purchase. You not being able to get one does not necessarily mean it is getting scalped, and "your son" not having a special version of an OLED Switch does not "ruin hobbies".
