It's an OLED, they cost money. You're also getting the new dock, improved speakers, a new hinge design.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes I get y'alls opinions on the Nintendo Switch Oled not being the Switch pro we Wanted and the price could be lower but think about our times we're in now it may take next year or the year after that for the pro we should be grateful for what they're trying to do for us that's just my opinion if you don't like it then ok if you do then ok I hope that the switch pro is real but it may take time thank you for reading this I still plan on getting this for me and my brother for Christmas
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You are correct, in 2021 720p is laughable. Especially Nintendo preying on nintendo fans by literally adding a longer plastic piece to the back that costs cents on the dollar, an OLED screen with low resolution that costs probably $10 more than the screen prior, and a plastic dock that can only help to output 1080p. They should have charged $299, they are continuing to sell outdated hardware in a package that is just made to look pretty. They should have had a Pro model come out, but they want to use up their internal warehouse inventory components, smart move on them, but dumb move on the consumers to lap it up.
