The $299 version is the full switch that can be played handheld, table top, on the TV, with docking charger The $199 version is a handheld only version as far as I know

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The $199.99 one can only be played in handheld mode (can’t be played on the tv) and some games are not compatible with it. The $299.99 one is compatible with all games and can be played in both handheld mode and on the tv.
