You can, however there are some games that are not compatible with the Switch Lite. The ones you cannot play at all require the use of joy con motion control, since the Switch lite is a single unit without detachable controllers. As of right now, this is the list I found of games that are completely non-compatible with the lite: Super Mario Party 1-2-Switch Nintendo Labo/LaboVR Just Dance (any version) Fitness Boxing Ring Fit Adventure Surgeon Simulator CPR All other games should work, though some may not work as well without the joy cons.
