Each switch comes with only 2 controllers, so the max amount of players per switch is 2. In order for multiple players to game, more switch controllers need to be purchased, or connecting other compatible controllers. One switch can house up to 6 controllers in connection so multiplayer is achievable but at a cost. Or the online option is also available.
