• It doesn't require a memory card to work. The memory card is optional but useful if you will be purchasing the games digitally which can take up a lot of the Switches internal memory, but if you buy the physical copies of the games instead its not needed.

• No it doesn't require one however internal storage is 32GB and with a microSD card you can expand the storage on the device greatly, which I highly recommend.
