Yes, it connects to an internet but has no web browser. Nintendo being more family oriented in focus may have done so to avoid kids going to adult themed websites if you get my drift. Only a possibility as it is hard to figure out how or why Nintendo does anything. It has support for stuff like Hulu and Youtube though.
