• Yep. If you use the built-in display (which is widescreen) or connect the DVD player to a widescreen TV, your only option is widescreen. To use the 4:3 aspect ratio, you have to hook the DVD player up to an old standard-screen TV (which defeats the purpose of a portable DVD player).
