Q: Does this player only work on the battery, or can you plug it in at home?
A: You can use this with the adapter that comes with it at home, or in your car ( plugged into the car). And it charges so you can use it without electricity. However the battery only lasts for 1 movie or about 2 and a half hours. It is a real nice machine with a clear picture. The swivel screen is nice also if you need to move the screen for better viewing.
Q: Does this player have a volume control on the player? Or do you have to use the remote for volume?
A: Yes it has a volume control on the player.
Q: does this play blue ray dvds also what of ports does it have instance can it hook to a projector
A: No,it doesn't play bluray DVD's.
Q: Does this DVD player pick up where left off or does it start over every time you turn it off/on?
A: I'm pretty sure but I'm not 100% positive if you turn it off it will resume when you were turn it back on that's only if you push stop one time however if you push stop twice it will go to the very beginning the next time you play it
A: You can connect it with the included AV cable.
A: I used it on a car trip (which creates its own ambient noise) and on the highest volume, I could easily hear the dialogue (I was driving and my daughter was using from the middle row. But I suppose it depends on how loud you are looking for it to go. The volume on this goes from 1 to 20.... Hope this helps.
