- Answer I am not sure on battery life but we went to Texas from Arizona and the kids watched 2 movies to/from and they never needed to be charged during the trip. Also, there is a battery power cord that can help if traveling by auto.

- Answer Yes, you can play it while it is charging. The unit is very heavy on you lap. Difficult to change episode areas on your DVD I have first season of Bridgerton. If I want to switch from episode 3 to episode 4, it is difficult.

QuestionI plan to use the DVD player to learn a language and to play exercise CDs. Both of these have menus. Is there any way to use a mouse? Or will I need to fast forward?

- Answer I am not sure about using a mouse.. there is a slot on the side for a computer type cord. There is a SC card slot and a pause button. I have a dance DVD that I dance along with it... I have not tried to pause it while dancing.

QuestionDoes it have a function to be able to see the CHAPTER and/or TIME? Sometimes it's called "recall" or "display". Sometimes you want to note where you left off & CHANGE to a DIFFERENT DVD. Such as exercise DVD in the morning and a movie in the evening.
