This model has 4 Hours of Tablet Run Time and 2.5 hours of DVD Runtime. You can use the device while charging but it is unclear as to whether you can use a portable charger.

Please try again later.I got it in the mail fully charged and once I started to use it minutes after I opened the package, the dvd kept freezing and the tablet would turn off. I would try pushing the power on button again and nothing would happen. It can be charged with a regular portable battery charger and it does come with the cord to charge it. The cord is just like any other android tablet would use.
