• I would highly recommend purchasing the insurance and bestbuy if the phone is damaged by accident or an act of nature Best Buy will replace it free of charge

• Don't know but within 30 days you can buy a warranty at squaretrade.com Amazon uses or did use them a lot - think they still do. I have several warranties with them and never had a problem as of yet.
