“Can I zoom past commercials? I record lots of overnight shows and they have 3-4 min blocks of commercials. Zooming ahead through the little thumb nails at the bottom of the screen saves a lot of time. I can do on my 2 channel system. It only makes sense.”

Yes! I save a lot of time by skipping the commercials when watching from the DVR function.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can fast forward thru commercials, it only gives you the blocks after the recording is completed. If you FF while it’s recording you will not get the blocks but you can still Fast Forward or rewind a recording.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's somewhat unclear what you mean by "2 channel system". If you’re referring to the 2 tuner version of this device, then yes, of course you can fast forward through commercials. It functions exactly the same as the 2 tuner model.
