• I use WD MyPassPort Ultra model of 1000gb.it's smooth as silk. So clear you'll forget you're watching a recorded program. Tablo recognizes the model you hook up to the Usb port. I have the 2 tuner model. Should work the same for the 4tuner model.

• It says that you can use a 1 to 8 TB USB hard drive, just not a memory stick. You garmat it through the “settings” icon.
