With only 2 tuners if you're watching 1 channel, you can only record 1 program, so if you have programs preset to record, the conflict will cause tablo to skip a recording of one of your programs. But, with 4 tuners, you could record 3 shows and watch 1 show, or record 2 shows and watch 2 on multiple tv's at the same time.

With a 4-tuner Tablo, you can watch or record up to four channels at the same time, whereas with the 2-tuner you are limited to watching or recording only two channels at the same time.
