• The Tablo web site may tell you which drives are certified, I can only tell you that I use Crucial 2TB flash drives and they work fine. Recording to an external drive does not in crease resolution. The DVR records whatever resolution the program was broadcast in. So, typically 480P or 1080P.

• As it already has 128GB memory built in, no additional external memory is needed. Trying to push higher resolution on the recordings is not recommended.

• We have used the Samsung T7 1TB SSD on our older Tablo TV for almost 3 years now and it works great. We now have a T7 1TB SSD on this new Tablo and love it. The small size and lack of power supply are definite advantages.

• The following is on their site. For USB-connected drives, we recommend Western Digital Elements drives and Seagate Expansion drives. I'm using a WD 5TB Elements with no problems.
