No, you need to add an appropriate antenna for your situation. I have a roof antenna, connected by a coax run, in the Los Angeles area and aimed properly receive well over 200 channels.

While they may both uses coaxial cables, a cable connection is different from a TV antenna connection. You cannot connect Tablo to a cable connection. Connecting it to a properly placed TV antenna will get you free over-the-air television.
