• It uses a durable, BPA-free plastic straw designed for everyday use. Takeya does not make glass straws for their tumblers, and none of their 40oz models include glass components. Using plastic straws instead of glass is safer for on-the-go (no risk of shattering). Works better with the flexible, leak-resistant straw lid design.
