The lens is meant for APS-C type camera sensors such as the Rebels and 60D, 70D, 80D. The 6D II is a full sensor camera. The lens's rear might protrude in and might get hit with the mirror and cause damage. If it doesn't hit you might see a circular image because it's meant for a smaller sensor.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I have a Canon 6D Mark II and the Tamron 16-300 lens. They work great together. The new Tamron 18-400 lens will not work with full-frame cameras like the 6D Mark II.
