It will absolutely work on the T5. I bought this lens for my wife for Christmas a few weeks ago. I (of course) had to try it out myself on my own cameras first to make sure it worked properly...wink wink...I put it on my old Canon T3 and shot about 75 photos and it worked quite well...probably will work even better on a newer, better camera such as the T5. Wife has a T6...it'll work on them all. I was pretty impressed with the lens by the way. Sure it's not the greatest lens ever but it did quite well across the board. If you want to carry only one lens around that can do it all...it's an amazing choice!
