hummm maybe but they have to be kinda far away. this is a telephoto zoom for taking pictures of things at a distances. for portraits and casual photos i recommend a prime lens in the 35mm range.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.its a good portrait lens but being a 70-300 they have to be kinda far away. yea the kit lens (18-55) didn't do much for me ether. i change between a 55-200 and the 70-300 often.
