It should work just fine, but I would double-check with Tamron. It depends on the focusing motor. On the 5600, with it's DX sensor, the lens converts to 225-900mm!!

Your camera with this lens attached will give a kit weighing in at about 5 pounds. Those walks through the woods won't be as fun if you think you're gonna carry this and hand hold shots at 600mm.
