• I got the first generation..the 2nd generation would have a (g2) somewhere in the specs

• I believe unless there's a G2 in the model number, it's the first gen.

• If the price have been quoted is less than a thousand, it is probably a G1. G2 are running around 1300. I have a G1 and it has served me well. Get ready for heavy glass regardless of generation.
